Private Chef Bringing Authentic Mexican Cuisine to London
Hola! my name is Gabi. I’m a Cordon-Bleu trained Chef living in London and I’m passionate about sharing the experience of authentic Mexican cuisine. I was born and raised in Mexico, but have been living in London since 2004.
Cooking has always been an important part of my life. Coming from a big Mexican family, I learnt to cook from an early age. We all had to help, chopping, mixing, boiling, serving, eating of course, and cleaning up, in a frequent ritual that could extend for hours and hours. A lot happened in my mother’s big kitchen: important decisions taken, news delivered, happy surprises, lots of laughs and some sad moments. Many of my most fond memories take me back to that kitchen, to its food and the simple happiness of cooking. These days, as a professional chef, I aim to recreate that ritual, using my food as a way to connect with people, so they can create and cherish their own memories.
Having spent some time working at Tredwell’s (one of Marcus Wareing’s restaurants), I now work as private chef in North London, creating bespoke menus inspired by the flavours, people and history of Mexico.
